About The Position

The incumbent of this position will serve as an administrative liaison to the Senior Associate Dean. The essence of this position is to support efforts to empower faculty in the School of Medicine by coordinating and leading projects, including delivering training focused on professional development and continuing education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Three (3) years of related experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in program/project management or commensurate additional experience.
  • One (1) years of management experience.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, applicants may qualify with four additional years of relevant experience, or with an associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
  • For positions requiring a master’s degree, acceptable equivalents include: Six additional years of relevant experience, A bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of relevant experience, An associate degree plus four additional years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in education, instructional design, organizational behavior, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience in professional development, training, adult learning, organizational development, or a closely related field, including program design and delivery.
  • Experience in higher education or academic medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Creation, design, coordination, and execution of professional development programs for faculty, staff, and administrators at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine (SOM) in content areas related to leadership development, teaching skills, organizational effectiveness, personal and organizational growth, and continuing education.
  • Exercises autonomous, critical thinking and judgment in program design and execution.
  • Supports the execution of CME-related professional development programming in collaboration with the CME Director and CME Manager.
  • Supports the management of the professional development budget within the Office of Faculty Affairs.
  • Delivers programming via hybrid platforms.
  • Creates evaluation tools, compiles evaluation results, and provides leadership with metrics on the delivered program quality and outcomes.
