About The Position

This is a posting for a Regular Part-Time Professor in the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa to teach the course "Droit des peines" (DRC 4780) during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course is a 3-credit, in-person, lecture-style course taught in French, with an expected enrolment of 80 students. The work hours are 39, and the hourly teaching rate is $239.47 (2024-2025 rates). Requirements

• Cours de droit pénal avancé traitant de certaines questions entourant le droit des peines.
• Éléments de contexte et définition de la peine.
• Étude de différents thèmes permettant de traiter du cadre juridique applicable, d’examiner la peine dans son contexte social, historique et politique et de réfléchir aux enjeux systémiques de la justice criminelle.
