The Civil Law Section of the Faculty of Law is seeking to recruit part-time professors who are distinguished by their expertise and play a leading role in the legal profession. This posting is for the course DRC1508, Droit constitutionnel : principes fondamentaux, for the Fall 2026 semester. This introductory course covers the historical, theoretical, and constitutional foundations of public law, its evolution in Canada and Quebec, and key concepts such as the State, separation of powers, judicial independence, parliamentary sovereignty, ministerial responsibility, public service loyalty and neutrality, the rule of law, and the supremacy of the Constitution. It also introduces the study of the constitutionality control of laws and government acts.
