About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor for the course PED 3544 F250, Éducation spécialisée et soutien à l’apprentissage, during the Fall 2026 semester. The course focuses on the study of the learner's development, analysis of students' academic and social difficulties, challenges of giftedness, examination of disability situations and exclusion factors, recognition of the rights and needs of these students in pluralistic and inclusive minority contexts, examination of tools and mechanisms for identifying needs and necessary support measures, and study of educational and evaluative interventions adapted to the particular needs of students.

Requirements

Master's degree in Education required; a Ph.D. in Education is preferred.
At least one of the following:
Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or administration within a school board, including 2 years of implementing the Ontario curriculum relevant to the course subject with a specialist qualification.
Current and peer-reviewed research record relevant to the course subject.
Recent Ph.D. synthesis examination relevant to the course subject.
Demonstrated knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum related to the course subject and Ontario Ministry of Education documents related to the course subject.
Proven ability to apply the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the Ontario College of Teachers.
The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those mentioned above.
Ability to teach in French.
