About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course PED 3544 F220, Éducation spécialisée et soutien à l’apprentissage, during the Fall 2026 semester. The course focuses on the development of the learner, analyzing academic and social difficulties, challenges of giftedness, situations of disability, and factors of exclusion. It also examines the rights and needs of these students in pluralistic and inclusive minority contexts, as well as the tools and mechanisms for identifying needs and necessary support measures. Educational and evaluative interventions adapted to the particular needs of students will be studied.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education required; a doctorate in Education is preferred.
  • At least one of the following: Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or administration within a school board, including 2 years of implementing the Ontario curriculum related to the course subject with a specialist qualification for the course subject; OR Current and peer-reviewed research record related to the course subject; OR Recent Ph.D. comprehensive exam related to the course subject.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum related to the course subject and Ontario Ministry of Education documents related to the course subject.
  • Proven ability to apply the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics of the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • The University may consider equivalent experience or qualifications.
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
