This course covers both commercial and residential leasing, aiming to establish the state of common law and legislative modifications. In proper French terminology, this course examines in detail, among other things, the nature of the lease, lease categories, the lease agreement, assignment, subletting, tenant obligations, remedies, and lease termination. This course also allows civil law students to identify the nuances between the two Canadian legal systems in this area. This posting is for a co-taught course; there are two postings for this position and the second posting is available under the same course code.
