About The Position

This posting is for a Student Part-Time Professor position for the course DVM 2515 Droit et coopération internationale (3 credits) during the Winter 2027 semester. The course focuses on the role of law in international cooperation, including justice, transitional justice, and governance, with a human rights-based approach. It will cover relevant theoretical frameworks such as neoinstitutionalist and postcolonial theories, and analyze contemporary issues through case studies. This is a lecture-based course reserved for students enrolled in the joint program of Licence en droit and B.Sc.Soc. specialized in international development and globalization. It is also offered under code DRC 2515. The course will be delivered in person on Wednesdays from 2:30 PM to 5:20 PM.

Requirements

Completed or in-progress Doctorate in international development or a related field.
Submit a draft course outline (one to two pages) indicating how the course expectations will be met regarding the role of law and international cooperation in justice, including transitional justice and governance.
Competence in a second language (French is the language of instruction, but competence in a second language is required).

Responsibilities

Teach the course DVM 2515 Droit et coopération internationale.
Develop and submit a course outline draft (one to two pages) detailing how the course expectations will be met, including theme, content, literature, and pedagogy, with a focus on the role of law and international cooperation in justice, transitional justice, and governance.
Deliver the course in person on Wednesdays from 2:30 PM to 5:20 PM.
Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
