About The Position

This is a part-time regular professor position for the NSG 3701 Research in Nursing course during the Winter 2027 semester. The course provides an introduction to research paradigms and methodologies in nursing, selection of research relevant to nursing practice, critical evaluation of published nursing research, and knowledge translation strategies into practice. The position is limited to Regular Part-Time Professors.

Requirements

  • M.Sc.Inf. (Master of Science in Nursing)
  • University-level teaching experience.
  • Recent and demonstrated knowledge of the theoretical foundations specific to the course content.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the NSG 3701 Research in Nursing course.
  • Introduce students to nursing research paradigms and methodologies.
  • Guide students in selecting research relevant to nursing practice.
  • Instruct students on the critical evaluation of published nursing research.
  • Teach strategies for knowledge translation into practice.
