About The Position

This is a part-time regular professor position for the course "Histoire des soins infirmiers" (NSG 4501) during the Winter 2027 semester. The course focuses on the study of nursing in Canada during the 19th and 20th centuries, emphasizing critical thinking through archival analysis. Key areas of study include the nursing workforce, the practice of nursing, and the social forces that shaped nursing identity and care. The position is limited to Regular Part-Time Professors.

Requirements

  • Doctoral or Master's level studies in history.
  • Specialization in the history of healthcare/history of medicine and literature on social representations of the body.
  • Experience in university-level teaching.
  • Experience in teaching online courses.
  • Must complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
  • All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.

Nice To Haves

  • Competence in a second language (Passive).
