About The Position

This is a new position for a Regular Part-Time Professor in Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs (NUT4583 Section A) for the Fall 2026 semester at the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Nutrition Sciences. The course examines the rules and best practices for supplying safe food to clients, strategies for assessing and reducing risks of food poisoning and infection, as well as physical and chemical hazards. It also covers the impact of public health policies on institutional stakeholders and consumers. This is a lecture-based course.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Food Science or equivalent.
  • Experience in the course subject matter.
  • If the degree is in an equivalent field, the candidate must specify in their CV how their academic training relates to food sciences.
  • Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent university teaching experience is an asset.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
