About The Position
This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the HIS3701B00 course, "Histoire à travers les frontières" (History across borders), during the Fall 2026 semester. The course focuses on the history of European merchant practices that contributed to the rise of global trade, the dynamic interplay of markets with their social, technological, political, economic, and cultural contexts, and the economic flows and refluxes within cross-border systems centered around financial metropolises. The course is taught in French.
Requirements
- Doctorate in History.
- Competence in a second language (passive).
- Ability to teach in person.
- Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.

Responsibilities
- Teach the HIS3701B00 course: "Histoire à travers les frontières".
- Cover themes chosen in history across borders, specifically the history of European trade from the Hanseatic League to the European Union.
- Highlight the dynamic interplay of markets with their social, technological, political, economic, and cultural contexts.
- Focus on economic flows and refluxes within cross-border systems structured around financial metropolises.
- Conduct the course in person.
- Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
