About The Position

Legacy Turkey is hiring full-time, benefits-eligible Production Workers for Whole Bird Packing. The role supports production by operating and maintaining machinery; packaging, labeling, boxing, cutting, or unracking turkey products; ensuring production standards are met; finalizing products; and preparing them for shipping. Employees work as part of a team and follow safety rules and good manufacturing practices to help ensure safe, wholesome, quality products. The role is located in Melrose, Minnesota. The posted schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and weekends as needed; shifts may be 8 to 10 hours. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship for a work visa.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
Ability to perform repetitive motions, including bending, twisting, turning, and reaching.
Ability to lift items up to 35 pounds.
Ability to work in a team with large groups of people.
Ability to work 8- to 10-hour shifts on concrete floors in temperatures ranging from 32 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wear required personal protective equipment, such as a hair net, hard hat, ear protection, safety glasses, and boots.

Responsibilities

Package, label, cut, unrack, and box turkey products to help achieve production goals.
Operate and maintain machinery as needed.
Ensure production standards are met, finalize products, and prepare them for shipping.
Follow safety rules to help maintain a safe working environment.
Follow good manufacturing practices to help ensure safe, wholesome, quality products.
Perform position-specific duties assigned by a supervisor.
