About The Position

The Production Worker produces quality trimmed parts to customer specifications. The role involves trimming and cleaning parts, inspecting and measuring them, completing documentation, maintaining product traceability, and preparing parts for shipment. Production Workers are expected to cross-train in all aspects of Trim Floor production to fulfill the job intent. The position is full-time, first shift, and located in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Requirements

Must be a team player and work effectively with coworkers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
Able to lift 50–75 pounds rarely.
Able to be on feet most of the day.
Able to work in elevated temperatures up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
Understand basic math and means of measuring.
Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
High school education level.
Provide personal steel-toed shoes; an annual reimbursement allowance is available.

Responsibilities

Read and understand simple blueprints and standard work instructions.
Trim and clean parts.
Perform visual inspections of parts.
Measure and verify part specifications as needed.
Accurately complete required documentation.
Maintain positive traceability of products.
Keep work areas orderly.
Prepare and package parts for shipping.
Communicate with production lines as necessary.
Properly record non-conforming material.
Operate production equipment and tools, including razor knives, die grinders, bead blasters, part washers, drill presses, band saws, lathes, and disc sanders.
Operate and read quality and dimensioning tools, including calipers, micrometers, pyrometers, and torque wrenches.
Cross-train in all aspects of Trim Floor production.
Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
