About The Position

Legacy Turkey is hiring a full-time, benefits-eligible Packing Lead for the first shift at its Melrose, Minnesota facility. The role involves supporting packing operations, building knowledge of product specifications and food-safety programs, verifying labels, maintaining accurate records, and managing the department when the Team Leader is away. The position requires working independently and collaboratively in a cool processing environment, with repetitive movement and lifting.

Requirements

Speak, read, and write in English and communicate with management.
Have excellent organizational skills.
Have strong written and oral communication skills.
Have excellent math skills.
Have plant processing knowledge.
Have no performance work actions in the last 6 months.
Have no more than three attendance work-action days in the last 12 months.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be authorized to work in the United States for any employer and not require employer sponsorship for a work visa.

Responsibilities

Work toward becoming knowledgeable in product specifications, GMP policies, SSOP procedures, and HACCP programs.
Handle people management and manage the department when the Team Leader is out.
Verify label supplies and conduct final label verification reviews for the assigned shift.
Maintain required files and keep records legible and accurate.
Work independently and with others.
