About The Position
Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We are looking for energetic, motivated, and results-driven individuals to join our Production Team. This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Thursday from 4:30 am - 3:00 pm, with a pay rate of $20.50 per hour plus a $750 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic
- Dependable and able to follow instructions
- Good math skills
- Ability to routinely lift 50+ lbs.
- Must be able to read, speak and write English
- Outstanding Attendance
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a drug screen and physical (to wear a respirator) is required prior to starting work should an offer be made.
Nice To Haves
- Production or Forklift experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Stack and dump 55 pounds or lesser units of raw materials into the mixer.
- Discharge mixed material into bags of various weights.
- Pack and/or place taphole clay or plastic products into pails or boxes.
- Heat seal or valve pack finished material bags.
- Palletize bags of various weights and sizes.
- Shrink or stretch wrap completed pallets in preparation for shipping.
- Add water and/or liquids to wet mixer.
- Occasionally operate forklift safely and efficiently as required after successfully passing required forklift test.
- Clean mixer, equipment, and general work area.
- Weigh bonds.
- Perform labeling, and housekeeping.
- Operate and complete warehouse movements using RF Scanning equipment.
- Follow company rules and regulations.
- Strive to reduce accidents, personal injuries, and potential hazards.
- Work safely.
- Report all accidents immediately to supervision.
- Report to supervisor of conditions that are believed to be unsafe or potentially hazardous.
