About The Position
The Production Operator plays a critical role in supporting daily manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures. This position is responsible for maintaining production flow, monitoring equipment performance, and contributing to the overall quality and consistency of finished products. The purpose of this role is to help meet production goals while upholding safety standards, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Production Operator works collaboratively with team members and leadership to identify operational improvements, address equipment issues proactively, and ensure products are prepared accurately for shipment and delivery. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. The ideal candidate demonstrates reliability, accountability, and the ability to operate both light and heavy equipment effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred
- mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate light and heavy equipment
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment including loaders and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner
- Inspect, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on machinery such as screens, mills, and load-out systems
- Prepare products for loading, shipment, and delivery
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace
- Follow all safety policies and operational procedures
