About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring Production Workers (Electrical, Electronic & Electromechanical Assembly) in the Chesapeake, VA area. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for reading and following work instructions, performing assembly operations, using hand and power tools, conducting quality inspections, identifying and reporting defects, reworking and repairing products, reporting issues, maintaining a safe work environment, participating in lean manufacturing initiatives, supporting material handling, and cross-training in multiple departments. The role requires adherence to all safety requirements and maintaining a Foreign Object Damage (FOD)-free work environment, as well as ensuring equipment is calibrated and used correctly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must maintain an active email address.

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or electromechanical assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow written and verbal work instructions, procedures, and engineering specifications.
• Perform electrical, electronic, and electromechanical assembly operations.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete manufacturing and production tasks.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process.
• Identify, document, and report product defects and quality concerns.
• Rework and repair products according to engineering specifications and change notices.
• Report issues related to quality, equipment, materials, and processes to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support material handling and other production-related activities as needed.
• Cross-train in multiple departments and assist where business needs require.
• Follow all safety requirements and maintain a Foreign Object Damage (FOD)-free work environment.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and used according to established procedures.
