About The Position
The Production Wares position supports efficient operations in the donated goods area by sorting, moving, and organizing materials. The role accurately sorts, matches, prices, and distributes saleable shoes to stores and helps prepare and price wares items for sale. It reports to the Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. Requirements

- Strong attention to detail when sorting, inspecting, and pricing donated items to ensure quality, proper categorization, and compliance with store guidelines.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply donation policies, including identifying acceptable and non-acceptable items.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques, hazard awareness, and workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and organization.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use the head and neck in twisting or static motions and look up and/or down.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Sort donated shoes into saleable, salvage, or discard categories and place them in designated areas.
- Match and secure paired shoes with rubber bands, and clean saleable shoes as needed.
- Store out-of-season saleable shoes and conduct final inspections before packing.
- Pack and allocate ready-for-sale shoes in barrels for store distribution.
- Maintain daily production reports and inventory sheets for packed containers.
- Assist with sorting, wrapping, and packing wares, books, records, tapes, dishes, toys, and seasonal items for shipment.
- Determine and attach appropriate pricing for wares, ensuring safe packaging for transport.
- Attach the correct weekly color and tag in a way that prevents damage.
- Label and allocate packed containers to the correct store destinations.
- Help transport barrels and boxes to the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety regulations.
- Support and collaborate with the Production Manager and Production Assistant.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
