About The Position

As a Production Test Technician on SpaceX’s Starlink team, you will help ensure the quality of Starlink products throughout manufacturing and testing. Starlink is a satellite constellation and broadband internet system designed to provide reliable, fast internet access to users around the world. The position supports production operations, test-line bring-up, troubleshooting, assembly, and compliance activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a production, mechanical, or manufacturing environment.
• Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• After training, must be willing to work either Monday–Friday, 1st shift (8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) or 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.); schedules may vary with site operational needs, and flexibility for overtime and weekend support is required.
• Must work onsite in Bastrop, Texas; remote work is not considered.
• Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, twist the upper body, and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
• Must meet U.S. export-control requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of test experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate’s degree in a technical or engineering field.
• Experience working with root cause/corrective action systems.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with experience managing multiple priorities and tasks.
• Practical experience working within quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Support production during critical SMT line-down events.
• Wire and assemble ATE during new SMT line bring-up.
• Perform PCB solder rework and hand assembly.
• Troubleshoot first-pass yield issues.
• Assemble cable harnesses and install them in test racks.
• Develop mechanical fixturing solutions.
• Assess production compliance with company and industry standards.
