Production Technician (Afternoons/Midnights)

About The Position

The Production Technician is a frontline employee responsible for producing quality parts according to L&L Products’ operating procedures and ensuring customers receive exactly what they ordered. The role requires teamwork and collaboration, along with the ability to meet quality standards and accurately pack parts for shipment. The technician follows safety requirements and production procedures, records work-order data, participates in changeovers, and raises safety or quality concerns promptly with the Group Leader. The position is titled for afternoons or midnights.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Paperwork training, FIFO, non-conforming product, safety, and evacuation knowledge or training.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to learn new processes.
Ability to meet the physical demands described, including frequent handling of objects up to 30 pounds and extended standing or walking.

Responsibilities

Understand the location and function of safety devices and safety aids within the plant.
Understand safety risks in the work area.
Follow all Production Standard Operating Procedures.
Adhere to company policies and values.
Participate in team efforts during changeovers.
Complete other specific projects assigned by the Group Leader.
Accurately record required data for each work order.
Stop work on equipment judged to be unsafe and immediately notify the Group Leader.
Stop production of parts that do not meet customer quality parameters and immediately notify the Group Leader.
Make quality parts to operating procedures and accurately pack them for shipment.
