About The Position
Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Radiology Technologist performs accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. The technologist demonstrates good clinical skills and provides the best possible images for interpretation, applies principles of radiation protection, and complies with regulations. The role assumes responsibility for a designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate. The technologist follows Corewell Health’s Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy at all times. The position is based at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak. The scheduled hours are 9 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with variable workdays and every third weekend. Corewell Health is offering an eligible sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 to external hires and new graduates.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)-accredited Radiography program.
- Training gained at student level.
- ARRT Radiologic Technologist registration required within 180 days.
- ARRT Radiographer (R) certification required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
