About The Position

The Production Team Leader provides leadership and direction to team members in the Production department and serves as the primary contact for issues involving materials, quality, and production runs. The role verifies production setup and materials, helps troubleshoot equipment, maintains accurate production records, communicates issues to leadership, and supports safety and 5S activities. EFP is a manufacturing company founded in 1954 and headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, with locations in several U.S. states. It designs, molds, fabricates, and provides fulfillment, kitting, assembly, custom systems, and inventory management capabilities. EFP is owned by J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Verify machine setups for production runs using documented setup procedures.
Verify that the correct quantity of resin bags has been added to mixing tanks to produce gel substance.
Verify that all materials needed for daily orders are available.
Perform basic troubleshooting of machines and palletizers when they malfunction.
Complete required paperwork and submit it to the supervisor.
Enter data accurately into the computer system for reports.
Collaborate with Maintenance on machine functions and troubleshooting processes.
Participate in Daily Management meetings.
Maintain and improve 5S activities.
Communicate production issues to leadership during the shift.
Ensure team members follow EFP, LLC Safety Rules and Policies.
Perform other duties assigned by leadership, including assisting other departments when instructed.
