Pixelogic Media Partners, LLCBurbank, CA

About The Position

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the planning, scheduling, and delivery of English localization workflows across Scripting, Subtitling, and Creative Localization, as well as manage and develop English editors. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are resourced effectively, editors are set up for success, and deliverables meet the highest quality standards while maintaining efficient production timelines. The Production Supervisor partners closely with Production Managers, Client Operations, and Editorial teams to coordinate work across multiple facilities, time zones, and shifts. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced production environments, demonstrates strong operational judgment, and continuously looks for ways to improve workflows, tools, and team productivity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, overseeing people, project planning, or operations within media, entertainment, or localization.
  • Strong understanding of localization workflows, including scripting, subtitling, and creative products.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules across multiple teams, time zones, and shifting priorities.
  • Experience with production management or scheduling tools.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate with urgency and sound judgment in fast-paced production environments.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting global localization or post-production teams.
  • Familiarity with editorial workflows, QC processes, and media localization pipelines.
  • Experience working in global multi-facility or distributed production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own overall project scheduling strategy, looking to balance quality, efficiency, and consistency across projects.
  • Track milestones, identify blockers, and escalate risks early to maintain on-time delivery.
  • Ensure scheduling decisions support project continuity and editorial consistency.
  • Assess incoming requests and determine realistic production timelines and workflows as well as resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with Coordinators to assign work to editors based on availability, skillset, project complexity, and deadlines.
  • Monitor active assignments and proactively address risks to timelines or quality.
  • Identify a core group of editors to work on projects end to end, based on skills, subject matter expertise, and availability. Partner with fellow Production Supervisors and Managers to ensure the best editorial resources are selected for each project.
  • With assistance from Production Managers, identify if any non-standard workflows or processes need to be followed for a project in order to meet client requirements or deadlines.
  • Prepare any relevant instructions related to special requirements, processes, or workflows and ensure editors have access to them and understand them fully. When possible, schedule an internal kickoff call to review this information and answer questions ahead of starting work.
  • Answer editor queries related to editorial process or project-specific requirements when required.
  • Especially for VIP projects within an existing franchise, schedule time for editors to review previous materials such as videos, scripts, subtitling files, creative elements, or other resources so they have familiarity with the content before beginning work.
  • Partner with Client Operations to manage changes in scope, priorities, or timelines.
  • Manage a team of editors and meet with them regularly to coach them through feedback, ensure they are familiar with the latest updates, address their questions and concerns, and consider growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a high editorial quality bar across English deliverables.
  • Ensure tasks requiring QC or specialized expertise are properly assigned.
  • Identify recurring issues and collaborate with management to improve processes and prevent repeat errors.
  • Host team meetings to ensure all editors are in sync with current requirements, tools, and instructions.
  • Monitor quality and output metrics, addressing performance gaps promptly through data-backed coaching.
  • Assist the Managers in the investigation of rejections, project challenges, and technical issues as requested.
  • Balance editorial workloads to maintain productivity and sustainable capacity.
  • Coordinate resource allocation across teams and supervisors to support production needs.
  • Maintain a live skills matrix to identify training needs. Set individual upskilling plans and hold regular 1:1 coaching sessions focused on feedback, growth, and accountability.
  • Assist the Managers in the rollout of new processes and tools, ensuring that editors understand any changes and being available to support them day to day with questions or flags.
  • Collaborate with Leads, fellow Production Supervisors, and Managers to identify inefficiencies in scheduling workflows and implement improvements that increase team efficiency.
  • Partner with Production Managers to close SOP gaps and standardize best practices.
  • Contribute to knowledge base documentation and operational guidelines where needed.
  • Serve as a key communication bridge between Editors, Coordinators, Production Management, and Client Operations.
  • Provide clear updates on timelines, progress, and potential risks.
  • Escalate challenges proactively and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve them quickly.
  • Foster a professional, collaborative environment across production teams.
