About The Position

As a Content Editor on the Creative Production team, you will edit and refine engaging still and short-form video content for Whole Foods Market Organic (WFM OG) social and brand channels. This role combines post-production editing with basic social-first photography and video shooting to support content creation needs. You'll collaborate with content producers, social strategists, and creative partners to deliver polished, on-brand content that resonates across digital platforms.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and photo editing tools (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms—especially TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook—and how to edit specifically for each platform's unique format and audience.
  • Basic proficiency with cameras, lighting, and audio gear for social-first still and video capture.
  • Excellent social copywriting skills with ability to craft platform-specific captions, hooks, and calls-to-action that align with brand voice and drive engagement.
  • Experience with motion graphics, text animation, and basic visual effects (After Effects knowledge is a plus).
  • Solid grasp of color grading, audio editing, and sound design to enhance storytelling quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high creative standards and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with producers, creatives, and stakeholders.
  • Creative eye for pacing, composition, and storytelling that drives engagement and brand connection.
  • Understanding of content performance metrics and ability to adapt editorial approach based on insights.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in video editing, content editing, or post-production, with a portfolio showcasing social-first still and video work.
  • Background in marketing, advertising, or creative production; retail or consumer packaged goods experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of creating engaging social content that performs well and adapts to evolving platform trends.
  • Demonstrated experience writing social copy that resonates with target audiences and drives measurable engagement.
  • Familiarity with Whole Foods Market or Amazon Fresh branding is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble short-form video content for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook, ensuring alignment with WFM OG brand standards.
  • Refine still photography and video assets captured during productions, applying color correction, audio mixing, motion graphics, and text overlays as needed.
  • Capture basic social-first still photography and short-form video content using mobile and professional equipment when needed to support campaign timelines.
  • Write engaging, on-brand social copy for captions, headlines, and in-feed text that complements visual content and drives audience engagement.
  • Transform raw footage into compelling social-first narratives that drive engagement and reflect current platform trends.
  • Collaborate with Content Producers to review footage, provide creative input during pre-production, and ensure editorial vision is achievable.
  • Optimize content for various aspect ratios, platform specifications, and campaign requirements across social and digital channels.
  • Maintain organized project files, version control, and asset libraries to support efficient workflows and content repurposing.
  • Partner with Social, Creative, and cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback, iterate quickly, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Stay current on social media trends, editing techniques, copywriting best practices, and platform algorithms to keep content fresh and relevant.
  • Support the Creative Production team in developing style guides, templates, and editorial standards for consistent brand expression.
