About The Position

The Production Supervisor plans, coordinates, and supervises the daily activities of an assigned department to ensure efficient operations. The role performs work safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR), while demonstrating the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

At least an associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of department operations and procedures.
Ability to understand complex verbal and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing plant supervisor experience.
Working knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance.

Responsibilities

Direct area supervisors and associates in the proper use of safe manufacturing practices, including awareness of product hazards, and ensure accountability.
Validate appropriate scheduling to maximize line efficiency while minimizing labor costs.
Communicate production-area needs to service groups, including changeovers, preventive maintenance, waste, and material needs for the current and following production day.
Communicate and follow up on quality or safety defects at all organizational levels for prompt evaluation.
Support and participate in the plant safety process.
Oversee plant areas to ensure SQR standards are met for all products.
Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
Remain accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Supervise and coach direct reports, complete performance reviews, and provide feedback.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
