About The Position

The Production Supervisor leads a department and advocates continuous improvement by ensuring a safe work environment, quality assurance, and productivity. The role is responsible for leading, hiring, developing, training, directing, and motivating department employees. The supervisor works with the Assistant Supervisor to maintain an environment that promotes success and supports company goals, while developing the Assistant Supervisor for roles of increased responsibility.

Requirements

• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Set high expectations for direct reports to promote teamwork, a positive attitude, and success in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage employees’ day-to-day performance and development opportunities.
• Resolve employee issues and administer fair, consistent discipline.
• Promote a positive workplace culture and help lower turnover.
• Conduct department performance reviews, appraisals, and disciplinary discussions, providing formative feedback.
• Work with the Assistant Supervisor to maintain a successful work environment and meet company goals.
• Manage cross-training and line balance, solve problems, and work through obstacles to meet department goals.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers.
• Mentor and develop the Assistant Supervisor for roles with increased responsibility.
• Maintain necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Meet and maintain safety measures.
• Meet and maintain quality measures.
• Investigate quality concerns to determine root causes.
• Prevent quality issues from leaving the facility.
