From your PASSION to ours Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Production Supervisor based in Nampa, ID. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily cheese manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, food safety requirements, and employee safety expectations are achieved. This role provides leadership to production team members, drives operational efficiencies, maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement throughout the facility

Requirements

  • Associate's or higher degree preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food processing practices; dairy industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dairy production processes.
  • Quality control and assurance.
  • Technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Process optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Strong team leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a loud production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily cheese production activities to ensure production goals are met.
  • Monitor production processes, product quality, and equipment performance.
  • Assign and manage staff to support production needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor products and processes to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Conduct routine inspections and support quality audits.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to address and resolve quality concerns.
  • Lead, train, and coach production team members.
  • Provide performance feedback and support employee development.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Communicate daily goals, expectations, and company updates.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety policies.
  • Ensure employees follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Participate in safety inspections and incident investigations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Support waste reduction and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet operational goals.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Track production, quality, efficiency, and safety metrics.
  • Communicate shift results and operational updates to management.
