About The Position

The Production Supervisor leads and coordinates manufacturing activities for fresh food products, including cleaning, preparation, filling, processing, and packaging. The role oversees daily production to support safety, quality, efficiency, and production goals in a fast-paced environment. It supervises and develops a team of five or more direct reports, monitors materials and processes, completes shift-end documentation, and collaborates with multiple departments. The position is on-site in Downers Grove and scheduled for the 3rd shift. Pay is $24–$31 per hour, depending on experience and skillset, plus a shift differential.

Requirements

At least 3 years of food manufacturing experience.
Strong communication and people management skills.
Bilingual Spanish and English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
Food Handlers Certificate.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods and bend or stoop as needed.
Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification.
Experience with data analysis.
Lean Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Direct daily operations to meet production targets within specified timeframes.
Supervise, train, and motivate a team of five or more direct reports and foster a collaborative work environment.
Oversee the flow of materials and production processes, conducting inspections to ensure efficiency and quality.
Complete and submit required reports and documentation at the end of each shift.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, safety, quality assurance, logistics, and finance departments.
