About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor 2nd Shift. This position is based at our facility in Orchard Park, NY. This is a 2nd shift role, working M-F with a 230PM start time. A flexible 9-80 schedule is available! Eaton Mission Systems in Orchard Park has approximately 400 employees and is a leader in the design, manufacturing, and testing of high precision Aerospace life saving devices, pneumatic systems, military and space applications. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Requirements

  • Associate degree and 4+ years’ experience as a Production Supervisor, Production Support Technician, or Team leader OR a HS Diploma/GED and a minimum of 8 years of manufacturing experience AND 3 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor, Production Support Technician, or Team leader.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Responsibilities

  • Managing cell capacity to ensure customer needs and production plans are met.
  • Coordinating resource allocations with other Production Supervisors to achieve company-wide shipment goals.
  • Promoting and participating in continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Enforcing safety policies and promoting Environmental, Health, and Safety as part of everyday activities.
  • Participating in product team production meetings.
  • Creating a level-loaded production plan for cells.
  • Managing cell capacity including technicians and equipment.
  • Working with Material Planner to ensure production material requirements are understood and can be supported.
  • Monitoring technician output: scraps, NCR’s, audit failures, and rework.
  • Assigning floor team overtime as needed.
  • Creating a cross-training/hardware matrix as necessary to ensure OTD.
  • Cross-training technicians within the floor team.
  • Conducting and assisting in performance reviews and discussions for technicians.
  • Leading by example in work ethic, attitude, and following work policies.
  • Ensuring compliance of the certified operator system, the training of new operators, and maintaining the accuracy of the training matrix.
  • Leading daily meetings to coordinate cell efforts and provide leadership in A&T.
  • Ownership of work policy enforcement, which includes disciplinary discussions and documentation as necessary.
  • Maintaining performance management KPIs and board and participating in performance management meetings.
  • Supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts in production cells and Leading 5S efforts.
