About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Production Specialist performs repetitive production-support operations using hand tools and associated machinery and equipment to assist in manufacturing JELD-WEN products, including door skins and other related building products. The role involves preparing and validating orders, operating and troubleshooting machinery, assembling door accessories, inspecting and packaging products, and maintaining equipment and work areas safely and efficiently. Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Read and understand customer requirements from job tickets.
Gather the materials needed to complete each job.
Ensure materials are properly labeled before they are sent to the warehouse.
Ensure all door accessories are in place before packaging.
Understand the materials required for different orders.
Visually inspect, select, and package products according to requested specifications.
Communicate to management when materials or equipment are not performing to standards or need to be reordered or repaired.
Maintain clean and functional equipment.
Troubleshoot machines.
Review production schedules, work orders, and other documents to determine machine setup, including door type and size, and validate each order.
Operate machines accurately according to order characteristics, safely and efficiently, to meet customer expectations and improve production.
Assemble product door accessories.
