The Production Scheduler II will be responsible for maintaining a high level of On-Time Shipment (OTS), customer satisfaction, and clear communication between Operations, outsourced supplies, and the Commercial team. This role is integral in monitoring the incoming workflow and providing realistic, aggressive timelines. The position serves as the primary on-site point of contact during the night shift for production and equipment-related issues. Key responsibilities include monitoring orders over 5k to ensure on-time shipment, proactively addressing potential issues like rebuilds and failed builds, and working closely with project technicians to ensure timely part production and adequate scheduling for recovery. The role also involves collaborating with the commercial team for smooth production, aligning with external suppliers on delivery timing and quality, and driving cross-functional workflows to support on-time delivery objectives. The Production Scheduler II will also coordinate internal and external workflows with the Purchasing Coordinator, make independent scheduling and prioritization decisions, and adjust production plans in response to disruptions or changing business needs. Responsibilities extend to quickly responding to issues like downed equipment or material shortages, identifying improvement opportunities with manufacturing leads, and resolving issues impacting OTS with Manufacturing Engineering. The role requires providing detailed reasons for schedule deviations to the commercial team, managing the daily ship list, updating the Forecast PM Team on concerns, and owning production scheduling outcomes, including on-time delivery performance and production flow efficiency. Accountable for identifying and resolving schedule conflicts, proactively identifying scheduling risks, and developing mitigation plans, the Production Scheduler II will analyze constraints and recommend corrective actions to leadership when delivery targets are at risk. The role requires maintaining an OTD of 95% or better, entering data into the QA database, and working closely with supervisors, engineering, project technicians, and the shipping department. Additional duties include performing work instructions, visually inspecting parts for defects, rejecting non-conforming parts, ensuring timely movement of jobs to QC and shipping, and maintaining a safe and positive work environment. Miscellaneous duties as assigned are also part of the role.
