About The Position

The Production Relief, Level IV sets up and/or operates gluers and edgers to produce products that meet quality and production specifications, and performs material-handling functions as needed. The position is based in LaGrange, Georgia, in Packaging Operations, and works first shift Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Proficiency in all functions related to gluers and edgers.
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for ten hours, or twelve hours during the busy season.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate gluers at or above production standard.
• Operate edgers at or above production standard.
• Set up the glue line according to the production schedule.
• Set up edgers according to the production schedule.
• Operate a forklift safely and proficiently.
• Transport finished goods from the glue line to the appropriate staging location.
• Transport work-in-process from the edgers to the appropriate location.
• Band pallets and lids.
• Load and unload trucks, placing product in the correct location.
• Create bills of lading in Tiger for warehouse transfers.
• Verify received product quantities against purchased quantities.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned area to GMP standards, including removing cartons, trash, dust, and debris.
• Fill vacancies due to absences or vacations.
• Perform other duties as requested or required.
