About The Position
The Austin plant is hiring Production Professionals to work in its food-processing production facility in Austin, Minnesota. The plant produces items including SPAM, dry sausage, bacon, and fresh pork. The starting rate is $25.55. Employees work in a refrigerated environment averaging 40 degrees Fahrenheit and may learn a variety of jobs and duties across the plant.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write to complete job-related paperwork.
- Basic computer skills to complete job-related tasks.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions throughout a shift.
- Ability to kneel, squat, and climb as necessary to complete job-related tasks.
- Weekend work is required.
Responsibilities
- Follow company rules for food safety and employee safety.
- Drive a forklift consistent with company standards.
- Learn and perform a variety of plant jobs, including grinding, batching, stuffing products, operating forklifts, slicing, and boxing.
- Make employee safety and food safety the number one priority.
