About The Position

This position is responsible for washing and refurbishing packaging materials used during the pack-out stage of the chemical production process. The role handles inbound packaging materials, operates tote and drum washing equipment, follows chemical washout guidelines, and documents completed output.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Professional appearance and ability to represent the company positively to customers and associates.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Ability to organize and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in a chemical production environment.

Responsibilities

• Wear mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Load and unload materials from trailers using a forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Maintain organization of the back dock for inbound packaging items.
• Operate small hand tools to refurbish totes.
• Operate the tote wash island safely and efficiently.
• Operate the drum wash station safely and efficiently.
• Follow chemical washout guidelines, ensuring incompatible chemicals never enter the wastewater discharge system together.
• Wash packaging items in a timely manner to prevent inbound materials from overflowing the back dock.
• Complete paperwork documenting output and submit it to the supervisor at the end of every shift.
• Complete other duties and special projects upon request.
