About The Position
The Austin plant in Austin, Minnesota, is hiring Production Professionals for its food-processing facility, which produces items including SPAM, dry sausage, bacon, and fresh pork. Employee safety and food safety are top priorities, and employees are expected to follow company safety policies and actively contribute to a safe working environment. The starting rate is $25.55. The work takes place in a refrigerated environment averaging 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Weekend work is required.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write to complete job-related paperwork.
- Basic computer skills to complete job-related tasks.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions throughout a shift.
- Ability to kneel, squat, and climb as needed to complete job-related tasks.
- Availability to work weekends.
Responsibilities
- Follow company rules and procedures for food safety and employee safety.
- Drive a forklift in accordance with company standards.
- Learn and perform a variety of plant jobs and duties, including grinding, batching, stuffing products, operating forklifts, slicing, and boxing.
- Make employee safety and food safety the top priority.
