About The Position

At MB Companies, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Chilton, Wisconsin, the Production Planning Manager leads scheduling and production planning activities to support efficient, on-time manufacturing operations. The role manages a team of production planners, develops detailed production schedules, and collaborates with manufacturing, procurement, and sales teams to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, MRP/ERP systems, and capacity planning tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities, with a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production planners to ensure scheduling efficiency and team development.
• Create, maintain, and optimize production schedules based on capacity, material availability, and customer demand.
• Analyze production data and forecasts to anticipate resource needs and avoid bottlenecks.
• Coordinate and communicate production plans with procurement, inventory, manufacturing, and sales teams.
• Monitor performance indicators, including on-time delivery, production adherence, and planner performance.
• Adjust schedules to accommodate urgent customer orders, equipment downtime, or supply chain disruptions.
• Implement best practices in production planning and scheduling systems, including ERP tools.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, reduce lead times, and improve efficiency.
• Ensure scheduling activities align with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
