About The Position

The Production Operator works in embecta’s Holdrege manufacturing facility to produce insulin delivery syringes. Depending on assignment in Molding, Assembly, Packaging, or Warehouse, the operator sets up and operates relevant machines and equipment, inspects products, conducts in-process quality checks, and completes quality and inspection documentation in a regulated medical-device environment. The role may also involve moving raw materials and finished products, monitoring equipment output, troubleshooting problems, and working with a team to maintain safe, efficient operations. The position is described as a 12-hour day shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience working with or fixing manufacturing equipment.
Excellent attention to detail when reading and completing product quality checks and documentation.
Comfort using computers and basic software such as Microsoft Office.
Good communication skills and a team-first attitude.
Reliability, organization, and willingness to learn.
A strong focus on safety and integrating safety considerations into daily work and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Wear required personal protective equipment and safety shoes.
Set up and operate machines and equipment used in molding, assembling, or packaging insulin syringes, according to the assigned area.
Inspect products and perform in-process checks to ensure quality standards and regulatory requirements are met.
Complete inspection and quality documentation accurately.
Move raw material supplies and finished products to designated facility locations when needed.
Monitor equipment output and identify issues.
Help troubleshoot equipment or process problems efficiently.
Work collaboratively with the team to keep operations running smoothly and safely, prioritizing safety.
