About The Position
The primary function of this role is to produce quality products with minimum scrap on the production lines. Quanex is looking to grow our Production Operator teams in Cambridge, OH. Requirements
- One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Willing to work overtime including weekends
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. on an infrequent basis
Nice To Haves
- High School or GED preferred
Responsibilities
- Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely
- Produce and use Material Identification labels
- Identify quality material prior to packaging
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notify supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues
- Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day
- Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S Standards
- Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
