About The Position

S. Clyde Weaver is hiring two part-time Production Associates to work in the kitchen and production area at its East Petersburg location. This hands-on role involves producing food products for retail sales operations. The schedule is four shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with one day off per week. A typical shift is seven hours, for an estimated 20–30 hours per week.

Requirements

Understanding of food safety practices and ability to follow hygiene procedures to prevent food contamination.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic math and measurement skills to measure and mix ingredients accurately according to recipes.
Ability to stand for the entire shift.
Ability to twist, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a food production or general production environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and food products for processing, including measuring and weighing ingredients according to recipes.
Follow recipes and production guidelines to prepare food items.
Operate food processing equipment, including mixers, ovens, smokers, and dishwashers, ensuring equipment functions correctly and safely.
Prepare and fulfill orders of sliced lunch meats and cheeses.
Operate manual and automatic slicing equipment, ensuring it functions correctly and safely.
Follow health and safety regulations and prepare food in a clean and safe environment.
Package, weigh, and store finished food products according to established quality standards.
Perform quality checks on final products.
Clean and sanitize work areas to maintain health and safety standards.
Promptly report food safety issues to the supervisor.
