About The Position

The Production Operator operates machinery and equipment in their department to process logs into lumber and other wood products. The role requires attention to safety, efficiency, and quality control while performing a variety of tasks and maintaining equipment. Starting wage is $24.59. Available schedules are Monday–Friday day shift, Monday–Friday swing shift, and Friday–Monday day shift. Duties vary by location.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work various shifts and days, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or mill environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and JSAs.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards to help maintain a safe work environment.
• Learn to operate each assigned machine safely and efficiently.
• Participate actively in the operator work-up program to progress through training and experience.
• Serve as a relief operator across a variety of functions, machinery, and workstations.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, and clean additional assigned areas.
• Maintain acceptable production levels.
