About The Position

This position is responsible for daily production-floor operations, ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with applicable legal and food safety requirements. The operator supports production lines by monitoring product quality and throughput, completing hourly reports, maintaining materials and housekeeping, and troubleshooting minor production issues. The position requires regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, days or nights, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or another schedule dictated by production demand.

Requirements

• No years of field or similar manufacturing experience required; experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

• No years of experience managing people or projects required; experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or as dictated by production demand.
• No foreign language required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily activities on production lines, ensuring product meets Niagara’s safety, quality, and throughput standards.
• Accurately complete applicable quality and production reports hourly.
• Physically and visually inspect product to prevent non-conforming goods.
• Report quality defects to appropriate team members and shift leadership.
• Follow company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
• Follow Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
• Maintain general housekeeping in production and other areas assigned by plant leadership.
• Maintain appropriate raw material levels to minimize production-line downtime.
• Work in assigned production areas, troubleshoot minor production-line issues, and perform relief duties when required.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
