About The Position

Maintain and operate machinery to produce quality cable that meets customer specifications and ensure efficient production. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, willingness to learn and improve, teamwork, and close collaboration with coworkers. Hiring is for 2nd, 3rd, or swing shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic math skills.
Ability to use measurement equipment, including OD tape, calipers, micrometers, scales, and electronic measuring equipment.
Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours.
Ability to bend or stoop to floor level 30 to 60 times per shift.
Ability to push, pull, or roll weight in excess of 100 pounds.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection are required in production areas.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Set up machines, including calibration and cleaning, to begin production cycles.
Control and adjust machine settings, such as speed.
Feed material or product to semi-automated machines.
Perform precise quality checks using measuring devices.
Respond to issues that arise during the shift.
Check output for quality issues.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance throughout the shift.
Use SOPs, CDAs, and TIs as resource documentation.
Change machines over from one product to another effectively and efficiently.
String machines up and select the correct dies.
Produce quality product with zero to minimal scrap.
Maintain standard efficiency, machine uptime, and speed levels.
Follow all rules and procedures, maintain a clean work area, and make safety the first priority.
Report safety incidents or issues immediately.
Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Help sustain a shop-floor environment where operators assist each other.
