About The Position

This position works with breeder servicemen and supervises and monitors hatchery production, egg pickup, inventory, and egg breakout while aiming to keep costs as low as possible. The role oversees production of healthy baby chicks for broiler grow-out and helps maintain a safe, biosecure, and productive working environment.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of baby-chick hatchery operations.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and advise when they are observed.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite programs: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records and direct the workforce.
• Hire and train personnel.
• Monitor safety rules and regulations.
• Set the schedule.
• Observe all biosecurity programs.
• Oversee and monitor a safe working environment.
• Oversee production of healthy baby chicks for broiler grow-out.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
