About The Position

Production Lab Techs help expedite job orders throughout the manufacturing process in a timely and efficient manner to serve customers. Associates perform a variety of duties depending on their assigned department and lab needs. This opening focuses on stockroom and inventory duties. Full-time positions are available on two shifts, each working three days per week with four days off: Shift 2A runs Sunday through Tuesday, 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.; Shift 2B runs Wednesday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Starting pay is $17.05 for entry-level applicants and includes a 10% shift differential. Additional biweekly bonus opportunities are available.

• Must be able to read and write English.

Nice To Haves

• Prior order-picking, inventory, warehouse, or mass-production experience is preferred for entry-level applicants.
• Prior related or optical experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Observe data on job orders.
• Sort and organize job orders.
• Use RF scanners and perform other department-specific tasks.
• Print orders and place tickets in job trays.
• Remove lenses from manufacturer packaging and place them on the correct trays for processing.
• Pre-inspect lenses for visual imperfections and return defective lenses to the manufacturer.
• Pick frames and lenses by locating bin numbers on prescriptions and scanning barcodes on trays and frames.
• Organize job trays, sort jobs, and place them into production.
• Receive and stock inventory, and periodically conduct inventory counts.
• Return lenses and frames to inventory for canceled orders.
• Research order failures, load new frames in DVI, and process lens breakage.
