About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, safely and efficiently handling merchandise into and/or out of the facility. The role includes feeding merchandise into an ironer, receiving and folding finished merchandise, inspecting it for quality, verifying quantities, bundling items, and placing bundles in appropriate storage carts. The position is based in a warehouse setting and involves repetitive physical work throughout an entire shift.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift.
• Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to push carts weighing approximately 300 pounds.

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stage and feed merchandise such as towels, napkins, tablecloths, and aprons onto the ironer properly to reduce wrinkling and tangling.
• Receive and fold merchandise from the ironer.
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet quality standards, including items with rips, tears, holes, or stains.
• Verify merchandise quantities, bundle items by type, and place bundles in the correct storage carts.
• Maneuver full and empty carts.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
