About The Position

Great Northern is hiring an entry-level Production-Factory General team member at its heavily automated paper-based packaging facility. The role offers opportunities to learn and work with different machines, with the possibility of bidding for permanent positions as they become available. Safety is the foremost concern, and computer skills are required. The schedule consists of weekly rotating eight-hour shifts, Monday through Friday: third shift (10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.), second shift (2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.), and first shift (6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.). Overtime is required and may include 12-hour shifts and Saturdays. Sunday overtime is typically voluntary, but the company may schedule it if there are not enough volunteers. Starting pay is $29.20, with a pay increase after completing the 45-day probationary period. Second-shift differential is $0.50 per hour and third-shift differential is $0.75 per hour. Employees may bid for other jobs and salaries, including forklift positions when available; bidding is determined by seniority.
