About The Position

The General Production Operator maintains operations across a range of manufacturing lines and operates production equipment to meet customer demands. The role focuses on safe, efficient, multi-machine operation and producing high-quality results. Equipment may include press, furnace, heat treating, coating, saw, and lathe lines.

The operator works with established quality systems and production processes, performs measurement and statistical process control activities, tracks operations and enters data in Plexus software, and handles materials. The role also includes maintaining workplace organization and responding to safety concerns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, daily operations, material handling, quality criteria, and safety issues.
• Troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate press room equipment and maintain established run rates and quality standards.
• Use standard, depth, and bore micrometers, calipers, and gages to perform SPC charting and maintain quality systems.
• Use Plexus software for operations tracking and data entry.
• Maintain material traceability, including tags and heat numbers.
• Operate a hi-lo and/or overhead crane in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Follow quality systems and formal deviations only when directed by supervision or quality technicians.
• Uphold 5S standards and maintain a clean, organized, efficient workspace.
• Identify and respond to safety concerns to support a zero-injury environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
