General Production
About The Position
JELD-WEN is hiring a full-time General Production (Assembler) employee at La Cantina Doors in Oceanside, California. The role supports the assembly floor and finished-product operations by operating applicable plant machinery and contributing to production goals. Employees work in a manufacturing environment and follow plant safety policies and OSHA guidelines. The position is a direct hire and requires availability for first-shift hours. The stated schedule is 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with possible extended hours from 4:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Overtime is mandatory and paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate; Saturday work may be required based on business needs. Expected pay is $24.37–$26.68 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous machine-operator experience.
- Willingness to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with machine setup and operation.

Responsibilities
- Operate applicable machinery in various plants to support the assembly floor and finished products while meeting production goals, quotas, and objectives.
- Assist other positions in support of JELD-WEN’s goals and objectives.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to appropriate plant personnel, supervisors, inspection staff, or quality-control personnel.
- Label finished products to match the appropriate paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
- Follow prescribed plant safety regulations and OSHA guidelines, including using required safety equipment such as safety glasses, ear plugs, and masks.
- Report unsafe conditions to appropriate supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
