About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, handling merchandise safely, efficiently, and accurately as it moves into and out of the facility. The role folds and sorts linen and other merchandise, verifies quantities, bundles items, and places them in designated storage locations. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The position follows a shift schedule that may include weekends, and overtime is required as needed. A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Requirements

• Understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Have working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Have good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Be able to meet the attendance schedule.
• Speak and understand English to communicate with the supervisor and others.
• Perform repetitive motions over the duration of an entire shift.
• Bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift; use hands for grasping and other manipulations; and stand and walk for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stage a cart in a lift table, secure the safety chain, and raise the table.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender or seat covers.
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet quality standards, including items with rips, tears, holes, or stains.
• Accurately verify merchandise quantities and bundle merchandise by type.
• Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
