About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, safely, promptly, and accurately handling merchandise into and/or out of the facility. The position involves staging carts in lift tables, folding laundry items, checking merchandise quality and quantity, bundling items, and placing them in designated storage locations. Work is performed in a warehouse setting and involves repetitive physical activity throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Must speak and understand English to communicate with the supervisor and others.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift, including bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, and lifting.
• Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stage carts in lift tables, secure the safety chain, and raise the table.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender or seat covers.
• Identify and separate merchandise that does not meet quality standards because of rips, tears, holes, or stains.
• Verify merchandise quantities and bundle items by type.
• Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
